Transit is a service – and it's also a product. In a crowded marketplace, I help transit to look distinctive and appealing.
Example Projects
Examples below represent just a few of the Branding & Identity projects that I've been involved with. Each graphic + description gives a quick snapshot of an actual project that, in almost every case, generated countless other materials. Please contact me if you'd like to discuss a project in greater detail...
Connections Coast to Coast
An environmental advocacy group was proposing an intercity rail line across this hand-shaped state. To make the idea more real, the group enlisted me to build out schedules, stations and a full brand identity.
Rolling Billboards
Transit vehicles travel all over town. What better tool to assert where our service is available? I designed a happy, eye-catching, easy-to-maintain paint scheme to raise transit's profile.
What's Your Number?
A series of new and improved transit routes was hitting the street. I created a sub-brand for each route involved. Assets included brand-forward T-shirts, which locals wear proudly to rep their route!
My Approach
Transit is, first and foremost, a vital service. However, the service can be invisible to people who don't already use it. By applying a product lens, we invite everyone to see what we have to offer.
I look to retail marketing for cues. From there, I adapt design strategies, technical details and copywriting to fit a transit use case. I integrate useful service information into every Branding & Identity piece. A properly crafted brand is more than a look and a logo – it's a gateway to using the product. Or the service.
By nature of what we do, we're already visiting hundreds of destinations. Let's activate this robust coverage to amplify our message.
Here We Start... Here we go!

This website references actual projects that I have actually worked on. My connection to each project may be or may have been as an advisor/consultant, an employee of a transit industry vendor or a direct employee of a transit agency. Projects featured are intended as examples of my work and my capabilities; I do not claim ownership of any project delivered by any vendor or produced for any agency. Thanks :)
